Privileges
All applications for privileges at the Surgery
Center of Reno are reviewed and approved by our medical executive committee
and governing body. No application fees or reappointment fees are required.
All surgeons are required to have completed pertinent proctoring and
have admitting privileges at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center or provide
a written agreement with a physician who has such privileges. All physicians
and ancillary health personnel who assist or scrub in the operating
room must also apply for privileges. With prior approval, residents
and medical students may observe in the operating room, but may not
scrub or assist.
Unique Location
We are located adjacent to Saint Mary's. In the event that your patient
needs a higher level of care, we can quickly and efficiently transfer
our patient to Saint Mary's through an adjoining tunnel. We are extremely
fortunate to have this connection in the event of an unanticipated need
for admission.
Operative Reports
An efficient form combining your post op orders and a brief operative
report is in every chart. Please dictate an operative report at our
dictation station via our 1-800-868-6224 access. The surgical notes
location ID”is 254 for our surgery center.
